Colin Hanks | Tom Hanks’ Son

Colin was born into a family of actors. He is the eldest son of famed actor Tom Hanks and Samantha Lewes. He grew up in the entertainment business and decided to follow in his parent’s footsteps in the world of performing. Despite being the heir of a legendary actor, Colin has established himself as a successful actor in his own right. In every part he portrays, his natural acting abilities come through.

He was determined to earn a college degree as a young man, so he attended Chapman University and Loyola Marymount University for a time. He did, however, drop out to pursue a full-time acting career. He has performed in television shows such as Dexter and films such as King Kong and the Jumanji film series. He has also directed a documentary and voiced the title character in the children’s show Talking Tom and Friends. Being the son of a famous actor got him a foot in the door, but it also came with expectations that he couldn’t always meet.
