Bella Zahra Murphy | Eddie Murphy’s Daughter

Born in 2003, Bella Zahra Murphy is Eddie Murphy’s seventh child and fifth with former wife Nicole Mitchell.  Bella has made recent headlines with her acting debut alongside her father in the highly-anticipated film Coming 2 America. The sequel to the popular 1988 comedy began streaming in 2021 over at Amazon Prime.

According to Bella, her dad broke a specific family rule when it came to letting her audition for the movie. It’s not nepotism or anything like that. It’s just that Murphy has made it clear that his children can enter the industry only after they turn 18 years old. Bella, being 17 years old at that time, was clearly an exception to the rule. That must have meant her performance was worthy enough to break the rules. Moreover, the degree of respect she has for her father’s work has genuinely transcended in the film. Not bad for a first-timer!
